Welcome to your APT

Today is your assessment day. This page will launch you to the APT portal. To proceed you will need the following: 

• An APT access code sent to you by email

• Approximately 1.5 hours to complete all sections of the test

• A quiet space with good internet access and a laptop/desktop

• Rough paper and a pencil for working things out

There are some important things to remember when taking this kind of assessment, please ensure the candidate understands that:

• This is not a pass or fail kind of test. It evaluates what kind of thinking you find easy or more difficult. Don't worry if there are questions you are unsure about, just have a 'best guess' and move on to the next question.

• APT is a clever assessment, the questions contain a range of difficulty, expecting you to find some bits easy and some bits - deliberately - more difficult. If the questions are feeling challenging then it means you are doing well and we are trying to stretch you to see how hard we can make it. There is no expectation on candidates to get everything right; just try your best.

• We use APT to find out how you compare to other students of your age and if there are subjects or skills that need support. Nothing is gained from trying to affect this result by either not trying your best or being involved in malpractice of any kind.
