Our Test
The Academic Profiling Test (APT) has been created to provide a comprehensive assessment of a student’s academic skills. It is a collaboration between experts in assessment, former headmasters and educationalists, using the highest quality teacher-written test questions and adaptive technology.
The APT can be used to demonstrate performance to future schools or monitor academic progress, or even as practice for other reasoning-type tests such as UKiset, ISEB Pretest or 11+ entrance exams.

Candidates can be tested from 8 to 14 years old and the assessment tests future academic potential by looking at core skills in English, maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal processing. Our results provide standard age scores comparing performance against their peers and providing insight on specific skills to work on.

APT uses sophisticated banks of teacher-written questions that have been validated and standardised against 10,000s of other students. Our test platform will adapt to each candidate's unique abilities, to ensure the results reflect their skills in relation to other students of the same age, and identifies any areas to work on.
Delivered at home
APT is taken on your own computer or laptop at a time that suits you
We permit APT to be taken at home with supervision from a parent or guardian. The tests are easy to administer and come with clear instructions. All you need is a consistent internet connection, a computer or laptop, a quiet space and about two hours to complete the assessment. Comfort breaks can be taken between sections of the test.
Extensive Reporting
Clear and comprehensive reporting delivered within 24 hours
APT reports create standardised (age-related) scores allowing you to accurately compare a candidate's performance with other children in the same year group. Our data correlates with other cognitive abilities tests and is directly comparable to CAT or CEM performance. We also provide detailed analysis on which skills need more attention.
